We're taking bets that a war is coming...

So I went to see War of the Worlds last night. It seems like everytime we encounter aliens in movies these days they are always hostile towards us. What happened to friendly aliens? I mean ET loved Reese's Pieces, making bikes fly and saying "Eliot" in a creepy voice. ET made Reese's Pieces cool to eat. He was wonderful. Even "The Last Starfighter" had friendly aliens. There has to be other good in the universe. Can't we all just get along.
