With the end of 2005 fast approaching I will be doing some of my Top Ten Favorite things about the year. Post in the comments sections items you think I should have included.
10. GWB partied it up like it was 2004. Genesis sang it well "I can't dance!"
9. Elections in Iraq & Saddam on trial. At least they are moving forward.
8. Deep Throat revealed. - Turns out it wasn't Jenna Jameson.
7. Judge Rehnquist dies and Sandra Day O'Connor steps down - Big changes are a coming in the Supreme Court.
6. Hundreds of Americans die in Iraq. We start to forget how bad it is there. Hopefully we leave soon.
5. Gas Prices skyrocket. It's almost not worth driving to work.
4. Pope John Paul II dies. Most people can't remember another pope.
3. London Bombed - Not as scary as 9/11, but only because it happened over there.
2. Terry Schiavo - I know more about her life than I do of my best friends.
1. Hurricane Katrina - Mother Nature made herself known in 2005. FEMA just couldn't cut it.

Thousands DIED in Iraq actually....
- Gay civil unions are national law in Britain, with Elton John to be wed in December (I guess that's news AND entertainment combined)...
- CIA Leak Scandal in the VP's office... Lewis "Scooter" Libby (you really gotta wonder about guys named "Scooter" anyways).
- Natalee Holloway disappears in Aruba (and you always thought your teachers were stupid when they told you to stay with the group...)
