We're taking bets that Hottie of the Week...

Hottie Laura Ramsey will be the in the new movie The Covenant. She was previously in the movie Lords of Dogtown and in Amanda Bynes bomb She's the Man. Laura has a really fun look about her and a most excellent smile. She doesn't have much on the horizon, but hopefully casting directors will make her a priority in the coming years. We will see.

***WTBT ALERT***

Answers to the Movie Quiz are due to me by Wednesday at noon. A winner will be announced them. Have fun!!!

WTBT Movie Quote Quiz...

Hey Everyone!!! I think it is time to bring back the movie quote quiz. Below I will be putting 10 movie quotes and you can answer what movie it was from for 1 point and a bonus point if you know the name of the character. You answers can go either in the comments section or e-mail me. The prize this week will be a sheet of scratch and sniff stickers. I will e-mail the winner and get their address to mail it to them. This week's theme is teen movies. There will be some hard ones, so please try not to cheat by checking others answers or use IMDB or anything like that. If you don't know, blanks are alright. Have fun and have a great long weekend!!!

1. That'll never be me, that'll never be me. That'll never be, never be me. NO... NO, NEVER, NEVER, EVER. And don't you EVER THINK IT.
2. Sure, why not? I am the token black guy. I'm just supposed to smile and stay out of the conversation and say things like: "Damn," "Shit," and "That is whack."
3. You are being a cheer-tator Torrance and a pain in my ass!
4. Oh I'm the weird one? You're the one calling Barry Mannilow from a phone booth at 2:00 am!
5. Donger's here for five hours, and he's got somebody. I live here my whole life, and I'm like a disease.
6. Never say "who's there?" Don't you watch scary movies? It's a death wish. You might as well come out to investigate a strange noise or something.
7. When Cameron was in Egypt's land..."let my Cameron go!"
8. I saw a gay porno once. I didn't know until halfway in. The girls never came. The girls never came!
9. My little brother got his arm stuck in the microwave. So my mom had to take him to the hospital. My grandma dropped acid this morning, and she freaked out. She hijacked a busload of penguins. So it's sort of a family crisis. Bye!
10. Screws fall out all the time, the world is an imperfect place.

We're taking bets that a tire cannot defeat me...

Hello WTBT readers!!! I hope that you have had a wonderful week and are looking forward to the long weekend. Of course I have to work this weekend so it will be extra special for me. I hope you enjoy today's questions. They are of the fun variety as opposed to the controversial. Post your answers in the comments section and invite others to answer. Remember you can be anonymous if you would like to and no one will know. :) Have a great weekend.

A. If you had no fear of anything, what 10 things would you do?

B. If you were the eighth dwarf, what would your name be?

C. What is the correct order in which to wash your body when youĂ‚’re taking a shower?

Answers:

A. Some of these things I do hope to do regardless of my fears.
1. Bungee Jump
2. Cliff Dive
3. Ride the Scariest Roller Coaster I could find.
4. Watch The Wizard of Oz
5. Eat Rocky Mountain Oysters (Gotta try it once)
6. Race NASCAR
7. Luge
8. Confront an ex on her craziness
9. Sky Dive
10. Watch Scary movies.

B. I think I would be named Huggable. I know that sounds cheesy (IAN), but many people say they see me as a big teddy bear and just want to hug me. So that would be my dwarf name.

C. You start with the package and then move on to the legs and feet. From there you go to the torso and arms. You then try to wash your back the best way you know how and go to your face. Finally you top it off with your hair with potentially a rinse and repeat. :)

We're taking bets that Ernie is not your friend...

Open Letter to Tropical Storm Ernesto,

Dear Ernesto,

Do you mind if I call you Ernie? As you know the Caribbean and the United States have been devastated with Hurricanes over the last year and you are the first one to truly make a problem this year. Now I don't know about you, but I don't think a Muppet should be causing trouble. I know that you are trying to sound tough with the name Ernesto but it isn't working. Everyone knows that you would rather go out to sea and play with your rubber ducky than cause trouble.

I ask you Ernie do you want to really make the rest of the Muppets mad? We could send Chef after you or even call on Waldorf and Stadler to make fun of you until you are reduced to a Tropical Depression. Go find Bert and have a grand old time shaking his freaky arms. Stay away from Florida and the rest of the Eastern Seaboard. Do me a favor; please ask Kirk to stay the hell away too because Captain Kirk definitely is scary enough to cause trouble.

Sincerely,

WTBT Staff

WTBT Volume 47 Series 2006...

We're taking bets that...

* the first day of classes are always the most fun.
* 24 deserved that Emmy for a great season.
* you are hoping that Ernesto becomes a little guy on a stick. (said with Speedy Gonzales accent) * Tiger is showing that he is the greatest golfer ever.
* one person surviving the Kentucky plane crash sounds like a movie plot.
* the Pats looked pretty impressive in their win over the Redskins this weekend.
* the Emmy The Office won makes me feel real good for all the razzing I took for liking the show.
* Maria Sharpova will win the US Open and Andre Agassi will at least make a run to the quarterfinals.
* I couldn't go one WTBT post without a animal story or a link.

We're taking bets that Hottie of the Week...

Hottie Sheryl Crow rocked the house in Hartford last night. Unfortunately John Mayer had to cancel due to laryngitis, but Sheryl made it worth it. She performed two hours when she was only going to play for 45 minutes. Sheryl was unbelievable and really got the crowd pumped. She has had a rough year with early stage breast cancer and her break-up with Lance. I personally think he is an idiot, but what do I know. I now cannot wait until she releases more new music.

* WTF doesn't even begin to cover this.

* Tiger is only 4 strokes back and the rest of the field is scared.
* you are kind of jealous of this cop.
* Invincible will be one of the most worthwhile movies of the season.
* the chief must have done something wrong.
* with more planets it is going to be harder for kicks to learn them without the "My Very Excellent..." device.

We're taking bets that smelly cat, smelly cat what are they feeding you...

Hey faithful readers!!! It is question Thursday. I hope this post finds everyone doing well. Quinnipiac University is wicked crazy with opening, but life here is great. (Yes I said wicked) If you can find time in your crazy days please answer the great questions below. Remember you can be anonymous and invite friends. :) Have a great day!!

A. Would you rather go a week without bathing, but be able to change your clothes, or a week without a change of clothes, but be able to bathe?

B. If you could be any age again for one week, what age would you be?

C. If you were in a horror movie, would you be one of the unwitting victims, or one of the people who survives?

Answers:

A. I would rather change my clothes because at least I think the clothes hold in the stink a little more and would give some fun freshness each day. Plus I could brush my teeth so I would do that a lot and breath on people to hide my stink.

B. I would be 23 because I think that is the best age. You don't know full responsibility yet and you can still date a teenager. Just kidding.

C. I would be a Survivor (Insert Destiny Child song here). I am smart enough to run and hide. I would be the guy everyone thought was dead, but I really was hidden under something.

* Debby could be the first big bitch of the summer.
* if I am going to eat something that stains, there is a good chance it will end up on me.
* girdles shouldn't hide anything but your figure.
* if you are bored this week you should be watching the Little League World Series, because there is nothing more fun than little kids playing baseball.

* Tom Brady will make everyone forget Deion Branch isn't around.
* it is sad when you lose your Willy.
* the Blue Jays John Gibbons will be fired for beating up a player.
* sometimes there is such a thing as too much chocolate.

We're taking bets that losers sometimes come in pairs...

Open Letters to Red Sox and Yankee Fans,

The Yankees destroyed the Red Sox this weekend in what may be the final nail in the Red Sox coffin. You could see it coming as the Red Sox were just too young. Yankee fans should very proud of their year and the fact that they have really overcome adversity.

With that being said neither teams will win the World Series. Never mind the American League pennant. The Tigers, White Sox, Twins, and A's are all better than both of you. It is a fact that no matter how hard you look at it you cannot really dispute. Be happy Yankee fans as you won another AL East, but it will be another year without a World Series and I think it is about time for the 1999 chants to start. As for the Red Sox fans relax, you have at least another 2 years before you can really complain.

Sunday, August 20, 2006

We're taking bets that Hottie of the Week...

Hottie Maggie Lawson who is on the fun show Psych has been around for a while without much fanfare. She has been acting for ten years and has been on Party of Five, Smallville and numerous other shows. Hopefully USA will keep Psych on the air for a while and Maggie will get her much deserved due.

We're taking bets you would like to be a sleuth...

Sorry question time is late. The workers at WTBT has been fully extended and are trying to make sure the readers are happy. :) I hope that everyone is doing well and they are enjoying this wonderful summer that we have had. Enjoy answering the questions in the comments section. I think they are pretty interesting. Have fun!!!

A. With the JonBenet case potentially solved what mystery or case would you like to also see solved?

B. You've been given 3 parachutes, but there are 6 people who need them. Who will you not give one to: Alex P. Keaton, Marty McFly, Deputy Mayor Mike Flaherty, Brentley Foster/Carlton Whitfield, Doctor Ben Stone, or Scott Howard? Of course, all 6 of them are up really super duper high in the air, and the parachute is truly the only way to save them. (Question modified, but borrowed from IndigoBlueGreen)

C. How many pillows do you like to sleep with at night? What is your favorite side of the bed?

Answers:

A. I would love to see the Nicole Brown Simpson Case solved. I am a firm believer that O.J. was involved, but didn't act alone and may not have been the actual killer. It is such an important turning point in how we view our celebrities and made cable news so popular. I think we should be able to find out the truth.

B. Alex P. Keaton would easily be first, no questions asked. I then would choose Mike Flaherty as I really enjoyed him in Spin City and it always makes me sad that Parkinson's was a main reason why he left the show. Lastly I would choose Marty McFly. He played a mean guitar and was a slacker. You can't beat that combination. It is tough leaving off Teen Wolf and Doc Hollywood, but easy to leave off the Secret of My Success.

C. I have 4 pillows with me when I sleep although I usually only use two. I am a huge fan of the left side of the bed, but I am adaptable. Lots of times I also enjoy the middle. :)

I definitely still am enjoying this, so it will keep happening. As always I love feedback so leave me some suggestions. I have gotten away from the contests, but I could always bring them back. I will be keeping my "Passion of the Week", but if you can come up with a better name I will try that. Only a couple more blogs until 600. Smile everyone and thank you for reading!!!

We're taking bets that Passion of the Week...

Emmanuelle Chriqui has never been in a huge movie and this has stopped her from being a huge star, but she has been in some great movies. She was the object of Lance Bass' affection in On the Line, which was on coincidentally right after he came out. She also was in Snow Day and has been on Entourage this season. She looks 20, but actually is 29. I think she deserves some love from the world. Good luck Emmanuelle I hope you become a superstar.

WTBT Volume 41 Series 2006

We're taking bets that you love one hit wonders...

Hello WTBT readers!!! I hope that you week is going fabulously. I am gearing up for the start of another academic year. The excitement is almost overwhelming. Here are a few simple questions for everyone to enjoy. Have a great time and remember to invite friends to answer. Just leave your remarks in the comments section.

A. Who is your favorite one-hit wonder singer/group?

B. What celebrity "because of crazy things that happened" do you secretly like? (ex. Judge Lance Ito from the Simpson trial or John Bobbitt from the case of the missing penis)

C. What is the one place in the world besides a family member's home that you would not want to be banned for life from?

Answers:

A. For me it has to be The Sugar Hill Gang. Rapper's Delight is a classic on so many levels and they never had another hit. I think it is the one rap song that even people who hate rap kinda like.

B. I truly think that Monica Lewinsky is the best fake-celebrity. She got some spooge on her dress and became famous. Everytime I think about it I laugh and that has to count for something.

C. For me it would be devestating to be told I could never go into Fenway Park again. I still remember the day I first went in and will never forget that moment. Although I would like to see them build a new one with more comfortable seats I would want the old one to be a memorial of all the players that played there in the years past.

* it is weird that there is no good entertainment news currently.

We're taking bets that Passion of the Week...

Vera Farmiga has been busy in 2006. She was in the underrated Running Scared with Paul Walker in the winter and now will be in two movies this fall. The most anticipated of her movies will be The Departed with director Martin Scorsese, Matt Damon and Leonardo DiCaprio. She seems like she is on the verge of a major break-out as she has 3 movies in 2007 too.

We're taking bets that you're so vain...

Hey Everyone!!! I hope all of my friends from the Northeast survived the heat wave. Relief is in sight. It is question time again and I hope you enjoy these questions. Post your answers in the comments section and be creative. Last week I tried to get 10 people to answer the questions and I only got 3, so hopefully I can get 5 people this week. Maybe even Ian will respond.

A. Would you be willing to reduce your life expectancy by 5 years to become extremely attractive?

B. What is the one feature you would change about yourself if you could? Just like Ashlee Simpson's nose.

C. If you could choose one celebrity from the 20's to 60's to be a star today who would you choose and why?

Answers:

A. I definitely would do it. What is 5 years? Although I am afraid to die and what if I had less than 5 years left to live. Would that mean I would die instantly? Anyway I would risk it, because you can always improve.

B. For me I think it would be to have some sort of a butt. Many times I think that it is practically inverted, so I think that would be an improvement. Nothing too spectacular but something.

C. For me it would be Maureen O'Hara from the original Parent Trap, Miracle on 34th Street and a bunch of movies with John Wayne. She was the perfect woman to me. Spunky, gorgeous, Irish, and she had great hair. I think she would be a goddess compared to today's actresses.

We're taking bets that you are sensitive...

Hello Daily WTBT readers!!! I hope that everyone in the US is surviving the heat waves and black-outs. I have no idea if I have international readers, but I hope you are surviving the weather where you are too. :) It is Thursday's questions time. Please post your answers in the comments section. I would love to break double digits this week. I am sure it won't happen, but I can hope and dream. With that being said please ask others to answer. All the questions are relatively harmless and if you don't want to say who you are you can be anonymous. Thanks and have a great day.

A. What is the one sense that you think you would have the most trouble living without?

B. If you could choose one smell to follow you the entire day what would it be and why?

C. What is your favorite Hostess snack?

Answers:

A. Because there is a history of macular degeneration in my family and I already wear glasses I guess I think that I would have the most trouble not being able to see. I really try hard not to take my sight for granted. No one realizes when you are little how cruel "Four eyes" can be because if you have perfect sight you just don't understand.

B. I think it would be the smell of Thanksgiving turkey. That smells makes me so very happy. Although I would probably be hungry all day I think I would be satisfied with that smell.

C. I think it would be Hostess Cup Cakes. The Orange ones are my absolute favorite. I love to eat the frosting off of the top first and then get into the cake goodness.

We're taking bets that Lance Bass needs a talk...

Open Letter to Lance Bass,

I have to say that I am very impressed with your willingness to come out to the public. It is a very couragous thing to do and I hope that you do not get harassed by the close-minded idiots that there are in this world.

With that being said I truly hope you don't use this as a publicity stunt to further your career. You have the opportunity to be a help to millions of gay men around the world, much like Ellen Degeneres was to millions of women. If this is only a ploy to help you make more money it will be the worst decision since Britney Spears decided that K-Fed was a suitable match for her. I hope you are the stand-up guy that everyone says you are.

One other quick thing. Could you please try not to do any other odd things like be an astronaut? It makes you an even easier target and adds to a lot of Uranus jokes. Most gays are pretty normal people and it is always the celebrity gays who do crazy stuff that makes the news and allows the conservatives to attempt to have tangible arguments against you. Is that too much to ask?

Thanks,

Greg

We're taking bets that colors make the world go around...

Hey Everyone!!! It is time for WTBT's weekly questions. Post your answers in the comments section. It is easy and fun. This weeks questions revolve around colors. Enjoy!!!

Which color describes you most accurately? Why?

What is your favorite color?

What do you think is a more amazing sight; seeing a rainbow, strange cloud formations or seeing the sunset? Why?

Answers:

A. I think the color that best describes me is dark red. Mainly because red is the color of passion and I think that I can be very passionate about things. I also think the darker red complements my down to earth side.

B. My favorite color will always be blue. I love blue in just about any form; even powder blue on some occasions.

C. I think the most fascinating sight is a rainbow because it is so rare. The fact that you can look in the sky and see so many amazing colors is just incredible. It is something that makes me realize there is a power greater than me who created this great place.

We're taking bets that you need to think long and hard...

Question Time!!! Hey everyone! I hope my faithful readers are doing well. Coming to you from the new WTBT Headquarters in Hamden, CT. I hope you enjoy this weeks questions. They are quite thought provoking. Put your answers in the comments section and if you have to you can be anonymous.

A. Is there anything that someone could say to you that would make you want to physically hurt them?

B. Would you actually act on that physical need?

C. Who do you prefer Grover, Big Bird or Mr. Snufflepagus? Why?

Answers:

A. Absolutely!!! If someone attacked my family with words that hurt or damaged my family I would want to physically hurt them. "Sticks & Stones" is crap because sometimes things just do hurt.

B. I hope not, but it is possible. Especially if it was a very select person. You never know what might make a person snap.

C. I am a huge Grover fan although Mr. Snufflepagus comes a close second. The Monster at the End of the Book is one of the best children's books ever written and Grover is the reason why. I used to read it to my brother when he was very little and he would laugh hysterically and Grover has always made me think of that time which I hold very dear to my heart. I also think Near & Far is classic. :)

* Pirates of the Caribbean 2 is awesome and don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

* it is disappointing not having Manny at the All-Star game, but as a Sox fan I would rather see him playing in October than July.
* you can't wait for Project Runway 3; if for nothing else you get to see Heidi Klum.
* if what happens in the Tic-Tac Bold commercials happens to me when I eat them I will be freaked out.
* flag football should not be this violent.
* Bode Miller will be a bigger flop at baseball than he was in the '06 Olympics.
* Lindsay Lohan is going to ruin ProActive by being one of their new spokeswomen.
* it is a shame that the World Cup head butt will tarnish Zidane's illustrious career.

* helium balloons are cool.

We're taking bets that Passion of the Week...

Naomie Harris plays Tia Dalma in the best movie of the summer Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest. In the movie she is not quite the beauty that she is in this picture, but you can see what Jack Sparrow sees in her. :) She was pivotal in this movie and I think she will be even more important in the next.

We're taking bets that I will be back next week...

We're taking bets that Passion of the Week...

Anne Hathaway has definitely grown up from her Princesss Diary Days. She was a Brokeback wife and will now be strutting her stuff in The Devil Wears Prada. Here is a great story to explain why she is a passion of the week. She also was the voice of Little Red Riding Hood in the great movie Hoodwinked. I think she has a shot to be the next Julia Roberts. Here's hoping.

Saturday, June 24, 2006

We're taking bets that you didn't know this about me...

My first year of college I was nicknamed Shadow. My college Roommate Kyle Reese (Yes just like the guy in the first Terminator. He was a little obsessed.) thought I was too quiet and snuck up on people. I was like a shadow. Much better than my childhood nickname, which is another story for another time.

We're taking bets that you don't want to be haunted by the dead...

Hey Everyone!!! I hope you are all enjoying summer. Since last week only one person answered my questions I am hoping for at least 5 people this week. It probably won't happen be we can hope and dream. Remember post your answers in the comments section and you can answer anonymously if you need to. Have fun.

A. What dead person would you least want to be haunted by?

B. What is one celebrity that you feel died too early and you wish could still be here today? Why?

C. Someone has hung a sign around your neck, and you have to wear it all day long. What does it say?

Answers:

A. I think it would be my grandmother because she would always wake me at crazy hours to talk to me. She would also get me to eat a lot of Polish food and that would cause many trips to the bathroom. Lots of cabbage you know.

B. I think that Janis Joplin died way to early. I think that she would still be rocking out today. Plus she has a voice that no one has been able to even come close to sounding like.

C. Don't Feed the Bear. :)

We're taking bets that Passion of the Week...

Britney Snow is the new Passion of the Week. She started out on NBC's American Dreams and will now be in the fun teen movie John Turner Must Die. She has a knock-out smile and a very sweet personality. Maybe she can restore some normalcy to the name Britney.

We're taking bets that when you gotta go you gotta go...

It is time for another fun factoid about your blog author. When I was on a Peer Advisor retreat I had to pee really bad, but we were following another van and I was the van driver. I got out at a stop light and let someone else jump into the front seat. Of course I forgot to put the brake on and had to jump back into the car. I then ran to the side of a church and peed in their bushes. I then ran back to the car just as the light turned green.

WTBT Volume 20 Series 2006

We're taking bets that...

* only women could turn the Britney Spear's Dateline interview into a psychology experiment.
* it was weird Matt Lauer wasn't wearing socks.

* Ben Rothlisberger is a class guy who has definitely learned from his motorcycle mistake.
* Bill Gates new venture will be successful.
* the US soccer team has to win tomorrow to even consider the World Cup a little successful.
* this guy needs to find something more exciting to do with his life.
* if Miami wins game five they will take the series in 6.
* sometimes Animal House just isn't what it is cracked up to be.

We're taking bets that it can be fun to flirt...

Hey everyone!!! I hope everyone has fun answering these questions. Get others to answer. It is fun. Post your answers in the comments section and remember you can be anonymous if you want to be. Enjoy!!!

A. What do you enjoy most about flirting?

B. Is there anything that makes you angry when driving?

C. What is the strangest thing you’ve ever eaten?

Answers:

A. I think it is the potential possibility of something more. Even if you are in a committed relationship it can make you feel like you still are attractive and vibrant. As long as you stay faithful it is perfectly harmless.

B. For me it has to be people not using their blinkers. It is a simple thing to do and I would say 75% of the driving population do not do it. Why? I have no idea, but it makes me want to kill someone. :)

C. The strangest thing I have ever eaten what Japanese Beetles when I was a Cub Scout. We fried them in butter and they tasted like popcorn. I wasn't the only one to do it, but I kind of enjoyed it.

We're taking bets Ann Coulter needs this letter...

A Letter to Ann Coulter:

I appreciate that you are an ultra-conservative and have the right to express your opinion. With that being said I need to say that you are absolutely crazy. I watched you on The Tonight Show last night and you never ever answered one of his questions. That is one of the main reasons that Americans are hated around the world. We avoid being honest and direct with the public. You have made idiotic statements that I don't even think GWB could have made. Here is an example, "It would be a much better country if women did not vote. That is simply a fact. In fact, in every presidential election since 1950 — except Goldwater in '64 — the Republican would have won, if only the men had voted." or "Liberals hate America, they hate flag-wavers, they hate abortion opponents, they hate all religions except Islam, post 9/11. Even Islamic terrorists don't hate America like liberals do. They don't have the energy. If they had that much energy, they'd have indoor plumbing by now." There is nothing worse than a stupid liar who has lucked into fame. Please stop your angry rants about liberals and try to use your grace with words for something more positive like solving the United States' problems and not being one of them. I take solace in knowin that one day you will get yours and I just hope that I can be around to see it.

* I never get fun stuff when I go to Home Depot.
* it was great seeing Spain beat up on the Ukraine this morning.

* Dwayne Wade maybe the best clutch player in basketball.
* you should watch "The Tonight Show" and see if George Carlin gets into it with Ann Coulter.
* only the Polish fans could get called hooligans this early in the World Cup. (I am 1/2 Polish so don't get into a tizzy thinking I am being mean. Just funny.)
* sometimes you just don't want to be caught.
* Johan Santana was just too good against the Red Sox last night.
* this should outrage every American and is why we are hated around the world.

Tuesday, June 13, 2006

* when you eat at KFC you know what you are getting.

* there are a lot of people pissed these aren't their parents.
* Deadwood started out great with it's season premiere.
* Dane Cook's Tourgasm was fun, but is Jay Davis going to cry every episode?
* we have officially run out of reality show ideas.

Sunday, June 11, 2006

We're taking bets that Passion of the Week...

This one is strictly for the ladies. The World Cup is here and the US Soccer team plays tomorrow at noon ET. Most of the men on the US team are not the most attractive guys, but defender Oguchi Onyewu is an exception. He also could be the key to the United States success at the World Cup. Hopefully the ladies will agree with me on this pick and remember he is only 24 years old.

We're taking bets that you love to dress up...

Hey everyone!!! I hope everyone has fun answering these questions. Get others to answer. It is fun. Post your answers in the comments section and remember you can be anonymous if you want to be. Enjoy!!!

A. If you were to attend a costume party tonight, what or whom would you go as and why?

B. How do you prefer to be dressed? (Ex. business clothes, swimsuit, jeans & t-shirt)

C. If you could start a Toy Hall of Fame who would be your first 3 inductees and why?

Answers:

A. I would probably go as a baseball player. It doesn't involve a lot of set-up and I could walk around with a hat on and a baseball bat. I would even wear the stirrup socks.

B. I love to wear comfortable jeans and have on a hockey jersey. It is comfortable and airy. If I could dress like that every day and be professional I would. I would have a ton of different jerseys. It might actually be a long term goal of mine.

C. Legos, Big Wheel, Monopoly. The best board game, the best building blocks, and the best vehicle for a kid ever.

* it is ridiculous that there is a 5 day break before the NBA finals.
* Katharine McPhee might be the first Idol to be in Playboy.

* if you are looking for something funny check out Jack Black's confessional.
* it's about time there was a woman(Milena Govich) taking over for Dennis Farina on Law & Order.
* Melky's Cabrera's catch of Manny Rameriz's homerun try was demoralizing to the Red Sox.

Tuesday, June 06, 2006

We're taking bets that you know everything...

Hi everyone!!! It is question time at WTBT. Sorry it is a day late, but I was on some personal business away from my home base. I hope everyone has fun answering these questions. They are pretty simple and somewhat thought-provoking. Get others to answer. It is fun. Post your answers in the comments section and remember you can be anonymous if you want to be.

A. Are you a know-it-all in a geeky sort of way (ala Cliff Clavin from Cheers) about anything? What is it?

B. Which of the following places do you think would be the most fun to live in: a tree, a cave, or an underwater lair? Why?

C. Would you be willing to commit perjury in court for a close friend? What if your lie would save his/her life?

Answers:

A. Although I tend to be Cliff Clavin about a lot of things I think that I am most like that with movies and television. I have such a love for visual entertainment that I have retained so much of that information on a somewhat creepy level.

B. Because I have such a love for the water I would love to live there. Though I am not sure if that means I would have to be submerged or not. If that was the case I would choose a cave because they are always cool.

C. I would lie unless my friend had done something that I considered a mortal sin and they did not have a valid excuse for it. Especially if it would save there life. There is only about 5 or 6 people in the world that I would do that for as well. So you would have to be very close to me.

We're taking bets that I will be back on Friday...

Hey everyone!!! I am off for a few days to do some personal stuff. I will be back on Friday with the questions of the week. See you then.

We're taking bets that Hottie of the Week...

Hottie Jacinda Barrett is one of the few people who has broken away from her Real World beginnings to become a B-List Hollywood star. She was in this summer's Posiedon and will be in a movie with Zach Braff in the fall called The Last Kiss. A very beautiful girl who actually can act you should catch her in the movie The Namesake.

Friday, May 26, 2006

WTBT Volume 15 Series 2006

We're taking bets that...

* Taylor Hicks is the weirdest American Idol winner yet.
* the Detriot Pistons better be more careful at the end of a game or they are going to get beat in their series with the Heat.
* Ken Lay is going to be in trouble in prison, mainly because his last name is going to be what happens to him on a daily basis.
* this guy was caught by the long arm of the law. I mean oops.
* if Josh Beckett continues to pitch like he did last night he is well on his way to a Cy Young award.
* you cannot wait for Tourgasm on HBO on June 11th.

Thursday, May 25, 2006

We're taking bets that it is almost swimming weather...

Hey everyone!!! Are you looking forward to the long weekend? Be sure to take a moment of silence for all the men and women who have died during military service defending our country. As you all know it is Thursday and that means question time at WTBT. Please post your answers in the comments section. Invite others. Help us get more readership. Enjoy your long weekend.

A. You have been given the chance to jump into a pool of anything you wish, purely for the sensational experience. What substance would you want to jump into?

B. If you had to work at one chain fast food place where would you choose and why?

C. Did LOST mess with your mind yesterday?

Answers:

A. I think it would be JELLO because it is squishy and would feel great between my toes. It would have to be strawberry-banana also because it would smell nice and taste good if I got some in my mouth.

B. I think I would want to work at an Burger King. Because the Whopper is the best burger ever. I also could get as many crowns as I ever needed.

C. Absolutely!!! Now I have to wait 5 months to get back into the swing of things. Are Locke & Eko dead? What the heck was the blinding light and noise? Where are Sayid, Jin & Sun? Where are Michael and Walt really going to go? What is going to happen to the captives? Why has Claire forgiven Charlie? What the heck is Penelope going to do? Craziness and I absolutely love it.

WTBT Volume 14 Series 2006

WTBT Hottie of the Week

Hottie Nelly Furtado has emerged from hiding to release a new album. This Portugese/Canadian has an incredible body and beautiful eyes to go along with her great voice. Her new song Promiscuous is rocketing up the charts. If you are looking for a hidden gem from her you should check out her combination with Missy Elliot on Get UR Freak On a few years back.

We're taking bets that you were wondering about Greg...

I do not like spaghetti with marinara sauce. I would never eat it as a kid and made my mother make a separate batch of spaghetti that only had butter on it. Even today I will never just choose spaghetti if it has marinara in it.

We're taking bets that Hottie of the Week...

Hottie Erinn Bartlett who has had a wonderful spring. First she was in the movie The Benchwarmers. Then she was Mary the Paralegal on How I Met Your Mother. She is gorgeous with a capital G. I hope that these roles make her a permanent fixture on TV and movies. There is no reason that someone this hot should be seen on a daily basis.

We're taking bets that you didn't know this about me...

In my never ending quest to educate everyone about me I have another interesting fact. I saw Donnie Osmond, Martika and Dino in concert all on the same night in the late 80's. I just thought you should know.

We're taking bets that people love to name things...

It is question Thursday everyone!!! Welcome back. Hopefully you have been enjoying the frequency of postings. Please post your answers in the comments section. I think the questions are definitely fun today. Invite others. Help us get more readership. :)

A. If you could have any animal in the world for a pet what would you choose and what would you name it?

B. If you were a porn star what would you choose as your name? (Don't use the pet/street name formula. Think of your own.)

C. While arguing with a close friend on the phone, she gets angry and hangs up. Assuming she is at fault, and makes no attempt to reach you, how long would you wait to contact her?
*WTBT note: No one is suggesting that she is wrong because she is a woman. The questions just happened to be worded that way. WTBT does not automatically assume women are wrong, it just sometimes happens that way. :)*

Answers:

A. I would love to have a pet tiger. Of course I would name him Hobbes because there really isn't a better name for a tiger than Hobbes. No offense to Tony. I would just hope that he was good at giving me philosophical answers as another tiger named Hobbes I know.

B. Although I think that I have a great name that could be used in any entertainment situation I have come up with a porn name. I would take my favorite Sesame Street character Ernie and combine it with my favorite cartoon as a kid Voltron. I think that would be a great name. Ernie Voltron.

C. I would wait at least three days and depending on how serious the topic was I would wait a week. If she hadn't called by then I would then confront her in person. All I have to say is there better be some apology tears.

We're taking bets that Hottie of the Week...

Hottie Michelle Monaghan from Mission: Impossible 3. The movie was pretty good and she was great. I think this movie will be her stepping stone to greatness. I mean if crazy Tom Cruise liked her for a role what's not to like. :)

We're taking bets that it is time for a random Greg fact...

Here is something most people don't know about me. I cannot make a 3 with my right hand as it hurts and I have to use my left. It is kind of weird and I have no idea why this is the case.

We're taking bets that questions sometimes are not timely...

Sorry everyone, but the Thursday question is a day late. I apologize for that. Hopefully you will enjoy today's questions. They are stupidly fun and should require very little of your time. As always post your answers in the comments section and invite everyone to join in. :)

A. If you were forced to choose between wearing pants that were two inches too long(and you cannot role them up) or two inches too short(and you cannot wear them butt crack style) every day for a year what would you choose and why?

B. What corny joke do you hope never gets used ever again?

C. Forgetting that your parents ever existed and you could choose one of three celebrity families to be born into, who would you choose? Britney Spears & K-Fed - Tom Cruise & Katie Holmes - Angelina Jolie & Brad Pitt

Answers:

A. I would definitely wear pants that were too long. I never ever want my ankles to be cold. I think it would be much easier explaining to people that I had shrunk and all my pants were fitting funny than saying I miraculous grew 2 inches at my age.

B. "No I got them all cut." Oh that makes me mad. Of course when I say, "You got a haircut." I mean not just one strand you idiot.

C. I would go with Britney Spears in a second because I think that despite all of the craziness I would always be looked upon as my problems were never my fault. I think I could ride that until I was at least 30 and then make something special with my life. Plus I would be a great dancer. :)

* LOST was so crazy last night that you have to watch it again.

WTBT Volume 3 Series 2006...

We're taking bets that you missed this blog...

I apologize to my faithful readers. The 10 of you have been very loyal and I truly appreciate it. (I hope there is more, but I am pretty realistic. Really invite friends to read daily.) I had hit a horrible writer's block and have fully recovered. I am going to make some significant changes to the site. I am going to do a WTBT column everyday, but it will only be 5 to 10 little facts. Hottie of the Week will move to Sundays. It is nice to see beauty to start the week. The Questions will still be on Thursday and a new feature will be "We're taking bets that you didn't know this about Greg." Now some people may know some of the facts, but I will try to delve deep. Hopefully you will look forward to this blog and read it every day. It is good to be back.
