Hello WTBT readers!!! I hope that everyone is enjoying the week. I have a few guest questions for everyone. A few of my staff suggested these questions and I thought they were fun. I hope you all enjoy.
A. If you had to wear one pair of shoes for the rest of your life what would they be an why? (If they wore out you would replace them with the same kind.)
B. If a woman has a sex change how do you think they would pee the first time they had to try?
C. If you could have a grand, beautiful front porch with a relaxing porch swing overlooking any place or thing in the world, what would it overlook?
Answers:
A. I would wear sandals, because I love them and they are comfortable.
B. I think they would have to stand up because it is easier and fun. Though they probably would have some problem with aiming the first time. Nothing worse than rogue pee.
C. I would overlook the Atlantic Ocean in Miami because it has an awesome sunrise and sunset.

* American Gangster will be a fantastic movie.
* this is why Jason Varitek is awesome.

We're taking bets that you love falling back...
Hello WTBT readers!!! I cannot believe that it is November already. Time flies when you are having fun. Lots of things going on in my world, so it has been tough to blog. I hope that doesn't mean you will stop reading. I hopefully am back on the horse. Answer my questions and invite others. Have a great day and I will talk to you all soon!!!
A. It is time to turn back the clocks this weekend. Do you think this is a good process or should we get rid of it?
B. What is your favorite color of leaf during the fall?
C. We are just about a year away from the presidential election. Who do you think should be president next?
Answers:
A. I really enjoy the changing of the clocks. It is great that we can have more daylight that way.
B. I really like red leaves. They are the most vivid and make me appreciate New England because you don't see them down South.
C. I think it probably should be Hilary Clinton at this point because she has made the most sense to me and she will have Bill by her side at tough times. It is always great to have someone who did a job to give you advice when you need it. I do believe that once it gets into the primary time I might change my mind as I will have more information to make a true decision.

We're taking bets that when you are having a rough day a picture of a little kid in a costume can cheer you up...
Well today was a crappy day where I made a lot of people mad and cry. It was not entirely my fault as I was the messenger of some bad news. It is part of the job and I support what we are doing, but it still is hard to make people cry. So I went to Boston.com and saw the Halloween pictures and the one below of Aideen Rose and and Chloe cheered me up. What cuties!!! I want to giggle everytime I look at the pea. I hope you like it too.
We're taking bets that lefty underwear is weird...
So a few people have asked me about buying and wearing lefty underwear. Most men when they have to go to the bathroom #1 they don't sit, but they stand up. That means somethings need to be opened in order for everything to function properly. All my life I have used my right hand to help things along because after the zipper on my pants is down the underwear opening was to the right. Up until the other day I only thought I could go in from the right. But alas I was wrong. You can sometimes go in from the left with lefty underwear. No I did not have them on backwards. The funny thing is that I have worn these underwear once before and did not notice. Maybe it was because I never had to pee while wearing them. While I do not think they are made for women there is such a thing as lefty underwear.

WTBT Volume 85 Series 2007...
We're taking bets that...
* celebrating after the Red Sox World Series win was a little more tame than in 2004.
* this guy is officially nicknamed Wimpy from Popeye.
* if someone told me Tim McCarver died in his sleep of natural causes I would not be upset.
* there is such thing as left handed underwear.
* Drunkenstein's would be a fun name for a bar.
* another Hooters would be perfectly fine though.
* the Patriots are going to get killed one of these weeks and only because they keep running up the scores.
* this lady is having a real bad day.
* you hate A-Rod even more for trying to steal the Red Sox thunder by announcing his opting out of the Yankees contract.
* sometimes people are rude and ignorant and it is how you react that counts.

Just for all my Red Sox fan friends!!!

We're taking bets that Hottie of the Week...
In an unprecedented move I have a two time winner of Hottie of the Week. Jill Wagner of the Mercury commercials is becoming an uber-Hottie. She has a great smile, voice and body. The Trifecta!!! We need her to find a full time sitcom or drama on TV. I know she was on Stargate Atlantis, but that doesn't really count. Plus she gets me a ton of hits from people searching for her. You go Jill Wagner!!!

WTBT Volume 84 Series 2007...

* being interviewed even if it is for a media class makes you a little nervous.
* it is fun when you wuzzle two words together.
* yes I am trying to put the word wuzzle into everyday use.

We're taking bets that family members are fun...
Hi WTBT Readers!!! I hope that everyone is doing fantastic today. The BoSox are up one game to nothing so things are good with me. Hopefully they don't do what they did against the Indians. That will cause way too much anxiety. I have a few fun questions for everyone. I hope you all enjoy them. Have fun!!!
A. What famous person do you wish could have been your sibling?
B. What TV Dad would you wish to have as your alternate Dad?
C. If you had to choose to be friends with one of these three celebrities, which would you chose and why? (Lindsay Lohan, Britney Spears, Nicole Ritchie)
Answers:
A. I would love to have had Tom Brady as my sibling. Although I would have wanted to be good at sports it would okay to have a brother that could get you into any sporting event that he wanted just by his face.
B. I love my Dad, but Mr. Keaton on Family Ties would have been a cool Dad too. He was down to Earth and liberal. What more could you ask for?
C. I would have to choose Britney Spears. I think that I could have gotten through to her if she was a college student. I think she has lost touch with reality and overall she probably is a very nice person.

We're taking bets that you don't mess with British women...
I had to include this story for everyone. This lady is bad ass. She doesn't care if you have a gun because she has a job to do. Imagine if all American workers were like that. We might actually have cured cancer by now and never gotten that gross french fry you always seem to get. What a lady.
We're taking bets that Game Seven in Boston is AWESOME...
Here are a few observations from my time at Game Seven of the ALCS at Fenway Park...
* No matter where you were seated the you had a great seat. Mainly because being around 37,000+ Red Sox fans at the same time was very cool. We had standing room and were at the top of the stadium on the third base side. There was a concession stand of our very own 10 feet from us and we had a beautiful view of Boston.
* Standing up and cheering has absolutely no effect on your team's performance. It was when people stood up that it was hard for us already standing to see the field. I would argue that the Red Sox did worse everytime the crowd stood up. It was when everyone was sitting and then something exciting happened like Pedroia's home run that standing was okay. Remember that there are a ton of people that would prefer to sit and watch the game. Standing just gets annoying especially every time a pitcher gets two strikes on a batter.
* College women love my Dad. More women high-fived my Dad that I could have ever imagined. Not that I was jealous or anything, but I never quite saw my Dad as a player. Now it could be the gray hair and women loving distinguished older men who love the Red Sox, but it kind of made me chuckle. I bet he could have gotten a hug if he wanted to.
* Police in riot gear with large bamboo sticks are scary and college students could care less. We passed a BU res. hall with 200+ people outside chanting, "Let's Go Red Sox!!! BC Sucks!!!" and the police were just watching. Now I don't think they should have broken it up, but I don't think the students cared who was out there. Especially the women showing their breasts.
* JD Drew has become the most loved hated person in Red Sox history. Everytime he gets a clutch hit you gotta love him, but most of the time he just stinks. My Dad even made a decree that he would not say bad things about him during the World Series if he drove Mike Lowell home late in the game. He did and now my Dad can't say squat when he inevitably sucks during the World Series.

WTBT Volume 83 Series 2007...
We're taking bets that...
* you want to hear about my adventures at Game Seven of the ALCS.
* I will be blogging about it on Wednesday.
* you have to give this guy credit for his naked ambition.
* standing and clapping does not help your team do better at a baseball game.
* you should say a prayer for all the people near the wildfires in California.
* some people just love animals.
* even though he draws the line at snakes he would still give one mouth to mouth if he found one that needed it.
* Heroes is starting to get a little bit diluted much like LOST did in its second season.
* you are lucky if you don't live in an area with man-elephant conflicts.
* sometimes football referees make mistakes and someone has to benefit.
* spending a weekend split with your best friend and your Dad is pretty cool.
* this may be the coolest story ever to keep an area chemical free.
* a great debate between colleagues is soemtimes the most invigorating experience.
* getting shot in the buttocks is always fun when done by lesbians.
* Myleene Klass might be the most gorgeous classic pianist of our time.
* cops in riot gear can be scary.

We're taking bets that Hottie of the Week...
This week's Hottie is Lady Luck. I was at Game 7 of the Red Sox/Indians ALCS and went to the UCONN/Louisville game. My teams won in both, but not without a little Lady Luck. Thanks to her mistakes that were made were covered up by lucky bounces and people looking the wrong way. Hopefully by honoring her here she will stay with me a little longer. :)

WTBT Volume 82 Series 2007...
We're taking bets that...

* itsyourcollege.com is a pretty cool website to be your homepage if you are a college student.
* Josh Beckett will have to pitch in Game 7 in order for the Red Sox to beat Cleveland.
* it will get to Game 7.
* Eva Mendes is superhot in We Own the Night. You gotta love what she would have looked like in the 80's.
* it would be worth finding this guy's laptop.
* the Yankees are going to regret losing Joe Torre.
* you have to believe it is magic when David Copperfield warehouse is getting raided.
* he should have just made it disappear like the Statue of Liberty.
* there will not be a college football team that goes undefeated this year.
* Grey's Anatomy has officially become the dumbest show on television.
* a house in Iceland is not going to make me forget I was told I was dying.
* this is the best catch a burglar story ever.
* most people spell and say "burglar" wrong.
* women should love these two girls.

* sometimes when you are clever the authorities cannot handle it.
* Manny should have run out his almost home run.
* you should remember what Mom told you and be careful what you stick your fingers into.
* they should release the name of the man so that we all can know what stupidity looks like.
* earthquakes can happen in Massachusetts.

We're taking bets that it would be exciting if some imaginary things came alive...
Hello WTBT readers!!! I hope that everyone is doing well and enjoying my new layout. I am getting rid of the poll because it mucks up the site. Any suggestions you have to make it better let me know. Everyone should be enjoying fall by now. Sleeping Giant is gorgeous right now with all of the leaves changing. It is quite a sight to see. Here are a few fun questions for everyone I hope you all have a good time answering.
A. If you could suddenly find out that one work of fiction was actually true, what book would you select?
B. What childhood character (ex. Big Bird) do you wish was real and could talk even today?
C. Who is your favorite wise cartoon character (Jiminy Cricket, Owl from Pooh, Papa Smurf, Kermit the Frog) and why?
Answers:
A. I would hope that Field of Dreams(yes it was a book first) was true and there really was ghosts playing baseball in Iowa. I would pay to see them play and re-live some childhood memories.
B. I think it would be awesome if Grover was real. He is always around for a laugh and his innocence is precious. Plus he could do Near-Far when ever I needed a pick me up.
C. I think my favorite wise character would be Jiminy Cricket. He was a great moral compass and has very high standards. Plus he is a great singer.

We're taking bets that you have a choice in your own decisions...
Here are a few observations(I am on my soapbox a bit) that I have had the last few days...
* The Boston Red Sox are playing some of the most uninspired baseball I have ever seen the last two days. Of course Saturday night was a big letdown, but the fun team is now gone. Hopefully they can pick it up tomorrow or it is going to be a Cleveland/Colorado series. Which will probably be a lot of fun, but disappointing for me.
* One of my tasks in my job is as a conduct officer. It amazes me the amount of excuses students who have been caught doing bad things have. Most of the time it was not their fault. When do people realize that they have a choice in their actions? Does it come during college when I am trying to get through to them? Does it come when they have to pay for things on their own with out Mom or Dad's help? Responsibility is a hard thing for people to grasp, but I think that we need to do a stronger job with our children in teaching how to take responsibility for their decisions.
* Curse words are at the very least fun to say. That is why we use them so often. My friend Niamh forwarded me this article. You have to admit the article makes a lot of great points. What I wonder is how language has gotten so crude overall. I think that our acceptance of curse words in society has allowed people to include hate words as not that big a deal either. my favorite line in the whole article is on page three: "Language has often been called a weapon, and people should be mindful about where to aim it and when to fire." I don't think that there is a much more true statement than that. If we were more mindful about our language we probably would have a lot less people hurt by our words.

* anytime you can start a story with Naked Tickler you are going to have comedy.
* you can't figure out why he would pee in the milk.

* Jon Bon Jovi was not funny at all on SNL this week.
* some people have absolutely no patience when it comes to kids being kids.

* it is crazy when Twister and a substance free Dance Party are causing roommate issues.

* the neighbor should be happy it wasn't a drawing of a giant penis.
* losing a baseball game at 1 am in the morning is depressing.
* you don't get many sharks bigger than this.
* everything Tyler Perry does turns to gold.
* Tom Brady would easily win MVP if the season ended today.
* this guy should have also taken a can opener and a microwave.
* you are not shocked he took a Hot Pocket.
* if the Colorado Rockies stay this hot they will probably win the World Series no matter who they play.
* it is all fun and games until someone steals your genitals.
* Friday Night Lights is still the best show on television that you are not watching.
* it is crazy when Twister and a substance free Dance Party are causing roommate issues.

We're taking bets that Hottie of the Week...
Hottie Christina Applegate has a new show starting this week. She is truly an underrated actress and hottie. She has been in one of the funniest TV shows (Married with Children), funniest teen movies(Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead) and funniest comedies (Anchorman). She really needs a vehicle to be a superstar. I am not sure Samantha Who? is the vehicle, but you should really check her out.

We're taking bets that Dane had it coming...
This is absolutely hysterical. SNL may have not been that funny this week, but this little sketch was.

We're taking bets that you need to be entertained...
Below are a few things to do, see, read or listen to over the next few weeks. I hope you enjoy my recommendations and find yourself entertained.
Go See:
Gone Baby Gone on October 19th. It is based on a book by Dennis Lehane (Mystic River). It stars Ed Harris, Morgan Freeman and Casey Affleck and was directed by Ben Affleck. Although that might turn you off, but the story is so good I think it will be better than Mystic River. Check it out.
Watch:
The Major League Baseball Championship Series started last night with a bang. There are four tough teams out there and even if you don't know anyone on the Rockies or Diamondbacks you will after this series. Although the Red Sox/Indians is the marquee match-up I think both teams will struggle with the NL team in the World Series. Every night for the next week there will be games on. Don't miss out.
The Office on Thursday nights. It continues to be one of the most fun shows on TV. Last night was hilarious with the Launch Party of the new website. Dwight is pining over Angela and he looks awful. Pam & Jim have been a great couple. What a great show.
Pushing Daisies is on Wednesday nights at 8 pm on ABC. It is different than every other show on TV. It is sweet with a little bit of comedy and drama thrown in.
Read:
Spy by Ted Bell. He has written four books and I feel like each book is more exciting than the next. Follow the adventures of Alexander Hawke and his abilities to stop global terrorism.
Echo Park by Michael Connolly. An excellent writer who has crafted a complex detective in Harry Bosch. Working the Open/Unsolved crime unit has given Harry many exciting cases and you never know which way the book is going to turn until the end.
Go See:
We Own the Night opens today. Mark Wahlberg is becoming one of the best actors of our time. He keeps making great movies and this drama looks like a winner. Joaquin Phoenix does creep me out a little bit, but Eva Mendes really will make up for that. It is about the NYPD in the 80's and it will be a great thriller for the fall.

We're taking bets that some old things need an update...
Hello WTBT readers!!! I hope that you like my new site update. I figured after 3 years I should change it. I did a color change in year 2 from Rose to Green and now a different look. Hopefully I will like it. At the very least it streamlines my archives. I have a some questions for everyone. I hope that you like them and are insightful. Get others to answer and have a good time. Talk to you all soon.
A. What invention that has been around since at least the mid twentieth century needs and upgrade?
B. If you could be great at poetry, painting, or scultping which would you choose and why?
C. What do feel would make Halloween even a more fun holiday?
Answers:
A. I think that vending machines need to be updated. Those spinning holders always get Doritos stuck and they are impossible to get out without practically breaking the machine. You would think in the 21st century we could find a better way to distribute chips and other snacks.
B. I would love to be great at painting. mainly because I like to look at paintings and people could hang my works in their houses or offices. I think that is the biggest compliment you can give to an artist is displaying their works.
C. It would have to be calorie/fat/sugar free great tasting candy. If for Halloween only candy was not harmful for you or kids it would be awesome. You could gorge yourself on Snickers and Reese's Pieces with no worry about regretting it. That would be fantastic.

We're taking bets sometimes you just don't know what is coming...
Here are a few observations that I have...
* Halloween is probably the coolest time of year for decorations. People really try hard to be scary or at the very least spooky. While Christmas has the most festive decorations Halloween has the most fun. I mean even a bowl of peeled grapes can be a decoration. By not cleaning your house of cobwebs you could be decorating for Halloween. What other holiday makes decorating so much fun.
* Trusting someone is always a very hard thing to do. Losing someone's trust is pretty awful. Someone I care for told me that they cannot trust me anymore. It was a shock and a huge disappointment for me. While I am not totally sure that I deserve it, that is how the person feels and it makes me re-evaluate how I do things. Always remember that getting back lost trust is one of the hardest things in the world that you can do and you just have to hope you get that chance.
* Vodka is absolutely amazing. It saved a man's life this week in Australia after the doctor's ran out of medicinal alcohol. There are not too many things in this world that causes many people to go to the hospital, but also can save your life. I think that this should be Absolut's new bottle campaign. Absolut Life Saver. I could be a marketing genius.

WTBT Volume 79 Series 2007...
We're taking bets that...
* sometimes you need to take the top off of the idea jar to be successful.
* A-Rod is probably going to look good in LA next year.
* Chuck is growing on me more and more each week.
* you have to love that animals can get along, but many times humans cannot.
* Tony Romo got really lucky his team kept him in the game last night.
* you don't have change for a million.
* you are wondering what the guy was going to do if he got ahold of the scanner gun.
* the Red Sox/Indians series will go seven games.
* it is great getting a phone call from a friend across the country.

WTBT Volume 78 Series 2007...
We're taking bets that...
* Friday Night Lights started its second season right where it left off with unbelievably compelling drama.
* Manny is being a lot more than Manny.
* this orangutan is just like every other guy who likes someone that reminds him of Mom.
* Brett Favre just didn't have any more magic last night against the Bears.
* the real crime would have been if he stole a Boston Creme.
* you can't understand why someone would stop a guy who just stole and touched one doughnut.
* the Yankees luck will end tonight.
* if being in rut allowed human males to be aggressive I would stay away from most college men.
* the Steelers are going to be a team the Pats have to contend with come playoff time.
* this result was a little shitty for the thieves.
* is probably what they called the car.
* USC just got exposed as an overrated football team.
* you cannot believe that The Game Plan was a box office champ for the second week in a row.

WTBT Volume 77 Series 2007...
We're taking bets that...
* the Phillies are in a lot of trouble.
* when a moose needs counseling the world has problems.
* calling Izzie and George's Grey's Anatomy relationship Gizzie is pretty weird.
* The Office is hysterical cutting edge television.
* the Yankees are going to need a lot better pitching if they are going to beat Cleveland.
* beer muscles only get you so far and getting Tasered usually puts a stop to that.
* he actually thought he could beat all of the cops up is funny.
* it is odd that Marion Jones is finally coming clean with her steroid use.
* if you are bored on Saturday you should watch the great college football games on TV.
* sometimes it just takes a Calvin & Hobbes cartoon to put you in a good mood.

We're taking bets that you like beets...
Hello WTBT readers!!! I hope you are having a great week. I am a little tired, but moving along. My parent anniversary is this weekend. They have been married a long time. I wish them many more. Here are a few questions for everyone. I hope you enjoy.
A. What is your favorite vegetable?
B. How many times did it take you to get your license?
C. What comic strip do you think has gone on too long and should be retired?
Answers:
A. My favorite vegetable is the carrot. I love it both cooked and raw. I like that it tastes great with a little bit of honey too.
B. It only took me one time. Though I thought I went too fast in the school zone, but I parallel parked like a champ.
C. I think that Marmaduke has long since been forgotten. Who ever thinks that they need Marmaduke's craziness in their life?

We're taking bets that it is sad when The Game Plan is the number one movie in America...
Here are a few observations that I have...
* It doesn't seem quite right. The Rock has a new movie out and it is the number one movie in America. It is not a action movie, but rather a family comedy. Maybe it is inevitable; Arnold made Kindergarden Cop and Stallone made Stop or My Mom will Shoot. Hopefully he will return to action movies and we will actually have an action hero again. Besides Bruce Willis in Die Hard and Harrison Ford in Indiana Jones what do we have left for action stars? We need someone to emerge and lead us out of the technology crap that we get. Thankfully Ben Stiller will probably take over this weekend, but the next thing you know the Rock will be in a tutu dancing around like the Hulk did. Ugh. Go watch a true story that will at least uplift your heart next weekend. The Last Season.
* The MLB playoffs start tonight and it will be exciting!!! October may be the best month in sports as just about every major sport is playing. The NFL and College football are in the heart of their seasons. It is time to just sit back and enjoy a little bit of sports. Hopefully the Sox will rock the American League onto their second World Series title in four years.
* Recently I was talking to others about ABC's original TGIF line-up. Amazingly I could not remember all four shows. It was Perfect Strangers, Full House, Mr. Belvedere and Just the Ten of Us. There currently is not four wholesome shows like those four anywhere on television. What has happened to our society? Since we are bringing back shows like Battlestar Galactica and Bionic Woman I think we should bring back shows like Family Ties and Growing Pains. Same character names with new actors dealing with family issues of today. What a great idea that even PAX could get behind. :)

WTBT Volume 76 Series 2007...
We're taking bets that...
* it is really hard to bullshit a bullshitter.
* you are a little disappointed that the Patriots only scored 34 points and not 38 last night.
* maybe Britney losing her kids will help her back to normalcy.
* Isaiah Thomas is a dirty groping sexual harasser.
* you cannot get much more creative than these artists.
* Heroes was very cool last night and I think that it has a great partner in Chuck as its lead-in.
* Willie Randolph won't get fired for the Mets collapse, but he should.
* this is the weirdest middle school in America.
* kissing pyramids and circle jerks are still allowed though.
* sometimes even when you win you lose with some people.

WTBT Volume 75 Series 2007...
We're taking bets that...
* our world needs another guy like Mr. Rogers or Captain Kangaroo for kids to enjoy.
* you are excited for the play-off play-in game tonight with San Diego & Colorado.
* this is a pretty cool record to have.
* my record is 12 times and that was a lucky throw.

* it was a good idea at the time.
* Lebron James was pretty awesome on SNL this week.
* Adam Samberg did it again with a fantastic digital short.
* with the Mets disaster New York teams have the two worst collapses in baseball history.
* yes the 1978 Red Sox moved to third behind the Mets and the Yankees in '04.
* my favorite part of this story is that the shark researcher said injurious.
* you need to use that word in a sentence this week.

* making another person smile who needs a boost is a wonderful feeling.
* the NY Mets will not make the playoffs.
* this doesn't seem like it could really happen.

We're taking bets that you should not blow your opportunity to inspire...
Hello WTBT readers!!! I hope that the twenty of you are doing well. It is a crazy fall in New England with 85+ degree weather the last few days. Although I like it I am a looking forward to fall. Jimmy Carter spoke here yesterday and he failed to be inspirational. I think that is a shame considering he was speaking to almost 3,000 college students. Here are a few questions for you. I hope that at least 5 of you can answer. Have fun and be anonymous if you have to.
A. If you were to give a speech to young people(high school or college aged) that needed to be inspirational what would you talk about?
B. Who is the most inspirational speaker you have ever heard?
C. Should adults try to teach young people lessons or should they leave them alone to find out about things themselves?
Answers:
A. I would speak about making a difference in just one person's life everyday and how easy it can be if you just try.
B. I think it would have to be Michael Eric Dyson. He is such a dynamic speaker and he makes me want to embrace everyone in a positive way. His views on diversity and racism are spot on and he inspires people to change.
C. I think that it should be a combination of both. Everything cannot be taught and many of life lessons are learned by experience.

We're taking bets that Hail to the Chief is great music...
Here are a few observations I have had the last few days...
* Ex-President Jimmy Carter is coming to Quinnipiac University today to accept an award. He is going to speak about nuclear weapons and the need to get rid of them. Since it is not often that a President of the United States is in your backyard I am going to see him. He is a Nobel Peace Prize winner and although he wasn't considered the best president he did a lot of good for the US and the World. I hope that when he passes away that he is recognized as a great man who loved his country.
* Most people under the age of 50 have no idea who the Little Rock Nine are. Yesterday was the 50th anniversary of the integration of Little Rock schools. President Eisenhower had to have soldiers escort the students inside. These nine teenagers are probably the most brave people that I can ever imagine. Racism and Bigotry are pretty bad these days, but in the 50's it was a whole other ballgame. Reflect on the accomplishments of the Little Rock Nine and understand that we need more brave individuals to move us further in the diversity equality.
* I know most people don't understand why Boston Legal and James Spader keep getting Emmy nominations and James keeps winning. It is simply one of the most intelligent shows on television. It's season premiere was last night and John Laroquette is now a regular. The show was fantastic. They deal with issues that even John Stewart sometimes shies away from. If you are not watching any TV at 10 pm on a Tuesday you should be tuned into ABC because you will realize there is something better out their than Dancing with the Stars and American Idol.

WTBT Volume 73 Series 2007...
We're taking bets that...
* Drew Brees has no longer remembered how to play quarterback for the Saints.
* Heroes was super awesome last night and I am hooked again.
* Chuck started out pretty well and I think that overall it is going to be funny.
* your favorite character is Captain Awesome.
* a mugging and a proposal at the same time is a great story for the grandkids.

* a lot of men are going to be talking with deeper voices today because of this study.
* it is great to not play a game and gain on the Yankees.
* the NL play-off teams will be the Mets, Brewers, Diamondbacks & Phillies.
* I do believe the Cubs are going to self-destruct again.
* Ted's tramp stamp on How I Met Your Mother was hysterical.
* you cannot wait for the slap bet countdown to be over.

WTBT Volume 72 Series 2007...
We're taking bets that...
* sleep isn't all it's cracked up to be.
* Brett Favre was mighty impressive in getting his 420th touchdown pass.
* Halo 3 has gamers going crazy with anticipation.
* Smokey the cat is quite a trooper.
* it is going to be a long week for the Red Sox.
* women's rights in Japan are still a little behind, but it could be a lot worse than being banned from a sumo wrestling ring.
* Randy Moss made quite a catch on Tom Brady's perfect pass.
* Heroes fans cannot believe the season premiere is finally here.
* you know Hiro is going to make it back to modern times eventually.
* with the exception of the Colts and the Pats the rest of the NFL is pretty even.

We're taking bets that Hottie of the Week...
Hottie Sara Bareilles can be viewed below. She has a cool new song called Love Song. She has a great voice. Although there are a lot of great singers out there I think she has the longevity mojo. We will see.

We're taking bets that you did not miss O.J. Simpson...
Hello WTBT readers!!! I hope you all are having a great time as we move into the fall. It is one of my favorite four seasons. :) There are a few fun questions for everyone to answer. I hope you enjoy them. Have a great day and to all of my Jewish friends enjoy Yom Kippur. I also forgot to say to my Muslim friend enjoy Ramadan.
A. O.J. Simpson is back in the news. What old or shouldn't be celebrity do you hope never comes back into the news?
B. If you could be famous for something nutty what would it be?
C. If you had a butler/maid, but they could only do one chore for you what would it be?
Answers:
A. I do not want to have Tonya Harding back in the news for any reason. She is an awful person who should just stay anonymous. You hired people to hurt another person and never went to jail. Crazy!
B. I would like to be Angelina and Brad's new adopted child. That would be kind of crazy especially since I am old. They could pay off all of my debts.
C. I would have them wash and iron my clothes. That would be the best, never having to worry about that.

We're taking bets that the O.J. trial is back...
Here are a few observations for this week...
* O.J. Simpson is in jail and being arraigned today. I seriously hope that this does not become another media circus. He is the reason that the media is so celebrity driven today. It doesn't seem possible that he could take things to another level, but he did.
* Beware of the head butt in a fight. It is dangerous. Even if you never get into fights you should be careful of accidentally head butting someone. Why do I say this? Because of this story of an armless man who killed a man with one head butt.
* Tomorrow there is a big rally for the Jena 6 in Louisiana and across the country. Fellow bloggers and readers please check out my old post and remind people that racism still exists in this country. We need to put a stop to it and learn that differences are what make us special.

WTBT Volume 71 Series 2007...
We're taking bets that...
* the digital smiley face is looking a little old at 25. :)
* I would have paid to see John Kerry's reaction to this kid.
* it is another scary September for the Red Sox.
* Barry Manilow is in a fight with The View and he is going to lose.
* Barry wrote the songs, but he is not a fighter.
* the Philadelphia Eagles are in a lot of trouble and Donovan McNabb may be looking at the bench soon.
* this guy has a few issues with God.
* I would love to see him serve that subpeona.
* it is a shame that the Women's World Cup games are on at 8 am during a weekday.
* I am excited that I have Friday off for Yom Kippur.

WTBT Volume 70 Series 2007...
We're taking bets that...
* Ryan Seacrest wasn't that annoying as host of the Emmy's.
* if you saw the Browns/Bengals game you were one of the lucky one's to witness the most impressive offensive game this century.
* you should not need your quarterback to throw seven touchdowns to win.
* OJ Simpson is an idiot of proportions that I cannot understand.
* you are wondering if he wore gloves this time.
* Jamie Pressley was the most deserving award winner last night.
* Tiger Woods seems to be getting better with age.
* you don't know how often I have had Haz-Mat crews in my bathroom over toilet paper dust.
* Derek Jeter might be the most clutch player ever.
* Ian is right Robinson Cano does look like Todd Bridges from Different Strokes.
* Alan Greenspan is still a bad ass in politics and in the financial world.
* John Stewart, Stephen Colbert and Steve Carell were hysterical at the Emmy's.
* the Patriots might win 19 straight games on their way to their fourth Super Bowl.
* Kristen Bell and Ali Larter tied for the hottest women on the Red Carpet.
* Sally Field looks pretty good for being 61.
* it seems like she is a lot older.
* you should congratulate the Phoenix Mercury for becoming the first WNBA team to win the championship as an away team.

We're taking bets that Hottie of the Week...
Since the US Women's Soccer Team is currently kicking ass in the World Cup I thought we should focus on one of the newest shining stars. Hope Solo who no doubt is the offspring of Han Solo and Princess Leia is the hotte
st goalie in the world. She is the US's number one goalie and she should be around for years to come.

WTBT Volume 69 Series 2007...
We're taking bets that...
* even with old people when you say sixty-nine you get a reaction.
* the Sox-Yankees series will actually mean something this weekend.
* this article gives you a whole new level of respect for Shakira.
* you didn't know you had any respect for Shakira.
* the poor Portland TrailBlazers cannot catch a break even when they get the #1 pick.
* in this hairy situation they should have just let the poor guy go.
* Bill Belichick should have been suspended for at least one game.
* suprisingly I agree with Venezuela and crazy Hugo Chavez on banning peculiar baby names.
* most sports fans will not be watching the most exciting game on Sunday: The WNBA Finals deciding Game 5.
* sometimes a simple conversation makes all the difference in another person's attitude.
* if you are from New England and you have never been to the Big E that needs to change this year.

We're taking bets that you are charitable...
Welcome WTBT readers!!! I hope you are having a great late summer day. It is a little chilly here in New England, but it feels great. Got to see Big Papi hit another walk-off home run last night. Quite an exciting experience. Here are a few questions for everyone. I hope you enjoy them. Have a great day!!!
A. You’ve won $50,000 – but have to give it all away. To which charity or institution would you donate it?
B. If you were going to name a foundation or charitable organization what would it be and why?
C. If you won $10 million what percentage would you give to charity.? (Imagine you got all the money and no taxes were taken out.)
Answers:
A. I would give it to the Alzheimer's Research Foundation because it is the one disease that frightens me most. I love my thoughts and memories and could not imagine losing them everyday. After seeing my grandmother go through it even though it wasn't fully diagnosed I want it cured.
B. It would be the Julia Dessereau Searching For Cures Foundation after my grandmother.
C. I would give 25% because I think that I could easily live well with only 75%. Hopefully this comes true one day. Oddly enough my grandmother had a dream that I would win the lottery one day. I didn't know this was completely grandma themed.

We're taking bets that our troops should come home...
Here are a few interesting thoughts...
* I appreciate that scientists do research on all kinds of absurd topics. Once in a while though you will hear some research that really makes sense. English scientists at the University of Portsmouth have realized that breasts bounce when women exercise. In order to reduce breast pain they are attempting to design better bras that reduce bounce. I for one am glad that they are looking at this. I mean someone could get hurt and we need to reduce collateral damage. Good for you English scientists!
* The New England Patriots deserve every punishment they get for cheating. It is hard for me to defend my favorite football team for stupidity. The worst thing is that they are a great team this year and do not need to cheat to get an advantage. I hate that they are becoming the Yankees of Football. I just hope it doesn't mean that we are going to get someone creepy like Jason Giambi on our team. Oops we already had Rodney Harrison and his drugs. I just hope when he returns he doesn't look like a 70's grease ball.
* Last Comic Standing is down to its final two comedians. You should watch the show tonight at 9 pm on NBC because you will get to laugh. There is nothing like laughter. Plus they are going to recap all of the other hilarity that they have shown so far. So get your laugh on tonight and have a great time.

WTBT Volume 68 Series 2007...
We're taking bets that...
* having an air conditioner in your office is great except when it i pouring rain.
* it is difficult having a meeting when it sounds like there is machine gun fire outside.
* at some point today you should have a moment of silence for those who died due to the terrorist attacks on 9/11.
* Chad Jackson's touchdown celebration was boring last night.
* toe licking is a weird fetish as is, but robbing someone and then licking their toes is downright disgusting.
* Belichick and the Pats are looking a little suspicious with video taping.
* even without it they would have killed the Jets.
* I hope it's not true.
* Big Brother has gone too far again.
* you thought it was going to be a marijuana flower or something actually serious.
* some football coaches go way too far.
* you should say a pray for the Buffalo Bills Kevin Everett and a full recovery from spinal cord injury.

We're taking bets that Hottie of the Week...

We're taking bets that you have memories about your hometown...
Hello WTBT readers!!! I hope that everyone is enjoying September. It is always one of my favorite months because it is the start of fall. The leaves change colors and where I work becomes one of the most beautiful areas in New England. I have a few questions for everyone. I hope you enjoy them. Remember to invite others and they can be anonymous.
A. How many different residences have you lived in since you were born?
B. Where do you consider your hometown and what is your favorite thing about it that isn't your family?
C. Is there any where in the world you wished you spent your childhood?
Answers?
A. I have lived at 5 different colleges, two apartment complexes, and three houses. Of course on each campus except AIC I lived in at least two different locations. I have definitely moved a lot.
B. South Windsor, CT. It is where I went to through most of my schooling. I love that from one hill on the opposite side of town you can see Hartford in the distance. I also enjoy that there are still a bunch of farms in the town but it is next to the biggest shopping area in Northern CT.
C. I think I would have loved growing up in Boston. It would have made me very independent and confident especially since I would have rode the T and bus lines by myself.

We're taking bets that FYI does not mean Finding Your Iguana...
Here are three little bits of important information or thoughts for everyone.
* The VMAs are on Sunday and they should be added to your weekend to do list. I know that they will be played 7,000 times between then and the next Sunday, but seeing them live make for great conversation. Something completely ridiculous is going to happen especially with Britney Spears and Kanye appearing. Do not miss out.
* Do you ever wonder why we in the "civilized" world don't make sacrifices more often. No I don't mean giving up Dunkin Donuts coffee to save time in your carpool. I mean killing a cat to appease God. Okay that is probably a little harsh, but I think the Nepalese might be onto something. If you use the whole goat it really is not a big deal. As long as we are not sacrificing humans and Michael Vick isn't involved I think we could get back into this practice in the US.
* Football season starts tomorrow and this means that many men and women will be useless from 1 pm to Midnight on Sundays. That seems like a bit of a stretch, but it is toatlly true. I am beginning to think that more women are dressing up in football jerseys and cheering on their favorite teams more than ever before. I thank J. Lo for the woman in a football jersey look because of what she looked like in Out of Sight. Gorgeous. It made it okay for them to wear the jerseys. So everyone do not get mad at your significant other if they are a little distracted on Sundays through the fall. Just put on a jersey and cheer.

WTBT Volume 66 Series 2007...
We're taking bets that...
* it is going to be quite a hurricane season.
* I am still excited about Clay Bucholz's no hitter.
* sometimes your porn collection is that valuable to you.
* spending at least $10,000 on porn videos is crazy.
* Phil Mickelson is back swinging with the elite in the PGA.
* Jerry Lewis is an idiot and even though he makes a lot of money for charity dropping the "f" word is unacceptable.
* at least you feel he is more apologetic than Isaiah Washington.
* Michigan Football will be lucky to get back into the Top 20 of college football polls.
* Whoopi took no time at all getting all Rosie on the View.
* defending Michael Vick is like defending R. Kelly. He did it and won't be punished like he should be.
* Stephen Kellogg and the Sixers put on an absolutely fabolous show and if you get the chance to see them you should go.
* the NL pennant races will be exciting, but the AL will be boring.
* people have gotten the "skinny gene" are stupid.
* I am a little bitter about the "skinny gene".

* I am so excited to watch the Patriots kill the Jets this weekend.

We're taking bets that Hottie of the Week...
Hottie Maggie Q is out with another new movie this week Balls of Fury. She is the hottest thing ever to come out of the Die Hard movies(unfortunately with a truck up her ass) and I think she is just getting started with her movie career. This Polish/Irish/Vietnamese actress will hopefully be lighting up our screens with her beautiful smile for years to come.

We're taking bets that people love to giggle...
Hello WTBT readers!!! Blogging is back in full swing for me so I hope my readership picks up. We are starting to experience some cool fall nights here in New England. I hope that means a lot of snow in the winter. A few questions for you to ponder and then answer. Invite others to join. Have a great day!!!
A. What innocent word when you say it makes you smile or giggle?
B. What movie do most people think is childish or stupid that you really think is hysterical?
C. What famous person, whom many people may find attractive, is most unappealing to you?
Answers:
A. I really giggle at the word duty and it is used a lot in my profession. I think it has to do with Caddyshack and "Doodie in the Pool!" Hysterical.
B. I believe that Real Genius with Val Kilmer is one of the funniest movies ever made. Most people haven't even seen it and those who do think it is a little stupid. There are so many great lines and you cannot go wrong with a character like Hollyfeld. Whatever happened to Mitch Taylor? You knew he was never going to become a big actor.
C. Although people love Grey's Anatomy I do not think Ellen Pompeo is hot at all. She has a great voice, but that is it. If I was McDreamy I so would have went back to Kate Walsh if it was a hotness scale. Of course now all of the Grey's Crazies are going to tell me I am nuts. Just relax I do think Izzy is the hottest. :)

We're taking bets that three items are enough information for you...
Here are a few interesting things from my thoughts...
* Loving your animals is a great thing. They provide companionship and usually unconditional love. Crazy Leona Helmsley left $12 million to her dog in her will. Most dogs would have been happy with a lifetime supply of Milkbones. The funniest part is that two of her grandchildren got nothing. Of course the dog isn't that happy because he had to hire a lawyer from Spot, Rover and Odie along with an accountant from Pooch & Fire Hydrant. The dog now has to pay taxes which I think is the least he can do. Too bad his name is Trouble because that is all he really is going to get.
* Christopher Walken is probably the most underrated actor of our time. He has been in some of the greatest movies ever and he instantly makes every movie he is in better. Where would Joe Dirt or Kangaroo Jack be without him. He helped SNL have one of its funniest moments with "I've got a fever and the cure is more cowbell." He should get an award every year for his contributions to entertaining us. So go out and rent The Rundown.
* It is never too early to start thinking about Halloween. In two months you may have a party to go to where you have to put something ridiculous on. Where should you go for your costume ideas? I recommend costumeideazone.com. This is not a pay per post. Just a real fun site. Don't get caught with no costume around Halloween. Just stick a dollar to each ear and be a Buccaneer.

We're taking bets that there is no day like today...
The beginning of many students college careers begin at Quinnipiac University tomorrow. There is nothing like working at a college on Opening Day. It is like the World Series, Super Bowl and Tax Day thrown in together. I will start to work 18 hour days and absolutely love every single minute of it. I may miss my blog for the next few days, but I promise I will be back with stories and laughter. Smile while I am gone because I know that I will be smiling from ear to ear.

We're taking bets that...
* it's a good feeling knowing your grandfather is out of the hospital.
* sometimes I forget to say good-bye.
* BoSox fans are psyched they are playing Tampa Bay this week.
* just because you have the power doesn't mean you should.
* giving a camel as a gift is kind of cruel.
* he was a two hump camel and she was a one hump lady.
* Johan Santana showed again why he is the best pitcher in baseball.
* it was only a matter of time before breakfast on a stick became popular.
* cops are pretty damn creative when it comes to catching speeders.
* I didn't get a speedking ticket this weekend.
* SUPERBAD is SUPER AWESOME and you should go see it.

We're taking bets that you love to name things...
Hello WTBT readers!!! I have five free minutes and I thought I would get some questions out. I hope everyone is doing wonderfully. A few simple questions for everyone. Have fun and invite others to join.
A. If you had a horse to run in the Kentucky Derby what would you name it?
B. Using only one word, describe yourself as a child.
C. At the local grocer, you see an elderly woman shoplift bacon. Do you tell the grocer?
Answers:
A. I would name it Dagnabit Musky after a cartoon character that I loved as a kid. He was always yelling that at Musky.
B. Sports-minded.
C. Probably not. I mean she is taking bacon. Maybe she doesn't have someone to bring it home for her. She also could have a mental disability that is hindering her. Of course with my luck she also is a jewel thief and she was just practicing her slight of hand.

WTBT Volume 62 Series 2007...
We're taking bets that...
* it is fun to giggle to yourself when typing something funny.
* if you are not careful Barbie and Batman toys could kill you.
* Facebook.com is a fun, but creepy place.
* Tim Wakefield showed why he is one of the best pitchers in baseball.
* he just needs to be a little more consistent.
* this man knows his duty as a police officer.
* she is going to bitch slap him when she gets drunk.
* if you don't respect yourself don't expect any man to respect you. (Thank you Steve Harvey!)
* even Red Sox fans should bow their head for the death of Yankee Great Phil Rizzuto. HOLY COW!
* this should be the day of the panda.
* if you are going to be mad at God it makes sense to drive into his house.
* Madden '08 is here and better than ever.

We're taking bets that...
* seeing people you haven't seen for months is awesome.
* the BoSox will start to make a comeback against Tampa Bay this week.
* Karl Rove resigning is the best thing to happen to the Bush Administration.
* this man didn't realize that under his hat was the most effective way to smuggle animals.
* Tiger Woods will win over 25 major championships before he retires.
* if you are going to get lost and swim nude you better identify yourself to rescuers.
* hiding is the worst thing to do when you are lost and nude.
* this guy is giving new meaning to living it up in your old age.
* only New Yorkers would do something in the 70's just to see if they have the nerve.
* Merv Griffin was a TV genius and will be greatly missed.
* David Beckham has been quite a bust so far.
* thankfully Posh's bust has made up for it.
* we really need to use the term varmint more often.

We're taking bets that you need to be heard...
Hello WTBT readers!!! I hope that you have had a great week! Time for some questions as summer enters it's last 5 weeks. I hope you enjoy them. Good fun questions this week. Get others to answer. I am hoping for at least 5 responses. We will see. Talk to you all soon.
A. Do you think a dog or a cat is smarter?
B. If you had a portrait painted of you what would the background look like?
C. What is one thing that fascinates little kids that you wish amaze you too?
Answers:
A. It has to be a cat, because they dictate what happens in a house. They know when they are doing something wrong and do it anyway. Dogs are great, but they always have a look of "I really want to sniff his butt." Dogs can be taught, but overall I think that cats are smarter.
B. I would probably have Fenway Park as my background. I love that place and would love to be remembered with it. My second choice would be a Little League baseball field from anywhere in America.
C. I truly wish I loved bubbles the way I did as a kid. Kids truly love bubbles. They said it in Knocked Up and I totally agree. I wish all I needed some days were bubbles.

We're taking bets that I am getting dizzy...
Here are a few observations from the world of Greg...
* Bourne Ultimatum was a fantastic movie, but I am sure it will make my best friend sick. The camera motions are even crazier than the last movie. It is like the director hired a bunch of people strickened with Parkinson's as part of some diversity hiring. (Yes I understand Parkinson's disease is scary, but it illustrates my point.) I think that Mr. Greengrass must have slept in a vibrating hotel bed as a kid because he doesn't understand a straight simple shot. I also think he likes people's pores because he had a lot of close-ups.
* Sometimes there are news stories that are too hilarious to not mention. You need to read about a man and his monkey. People actually thought he didn't know he had a monkey in his hat. Was he wearing the pope's big hat? Did he borrow the chiquita banana lady's hat and it just happened into the hat? Of course the guy knew he had a monkey in his hat. Maybe it just made them laugh to ask. "Excuse me sir. Do you know you have a monkey in your hat?" Oh the laughs we could have. You know of course this could lead to people trying to smuggle other animals under their hats. "Excuse me sir. Do you know there is a koala under your hat?" Because everyone loves koalas and they should be closer to people.
* Van Halen is reuniting again with David Lee Roth. Someone should put a stop to these old bands getting back together. No one wants to see Flock of Seagulls or Frankie Goes to Hollywood again. If you have been broken up for more than 20 years please stop and form a new band. It worked for a lot of others. Try it out.

We're taking bets that...
* I can't believe I have almost reached 3 years as a blogger.
* some days there is just nothing funny in the news.
* monkey business sometimes cannot be done at the zoo.
* you are wondering what monkey biscuits consist of.
* they must be a little bit like Zwieback cookies.
* God is watching after some of us.
* I hate when my shoe falls off and gets stuck under the brake pedal.
* it would be nice to see David Beckham in uniform for an MLS game.
* leaving your dead wife's ashes in a ceramic turtle is going to cause problems.

WTBT Volume 59 Series 2007...
We're taking bets that...
* Barry will hit number 756 into McCovey Cove.
* Bourne Ultimatum is well worth $10.
* it's too bad Matt Damon doesn't want to do any more Bourne movies.
* Tiger will dominate the PGA Championship this week.
* just because library books are free doesn't mean you can be a jerk.
* you are going to hear a lot about bridges in the next presidential election.
* it is a slippery slope when football coaches are getting involved in the admissions process at Colleges and Universities.
* this kid must have an angel falling with him to still be alive.
* some of the X-Games stunts are absolutely crazy.
* if I ever fell from 40 feet I would easily break both legs.
* SuperBad will be as funny as Knocked Up if not better.
* sometimes pandas will attack and it is not funny.
* the delay of the new Grand Theft Auto has gamers everywhere upset.

WTBT Volume 58 Series 2007...
Were taking bets that...
* it's great waking up 5 minutes before an unscheduled power outtage happens.
* knowing the power is going out and not telling anyone sucks.
* Bourne Identity is the movie to see this weekend.
* Roger Clemens getting booed off the mound is music to my ears.
* it is tough to beat a kazoo record.
* there are not many more fun names for instruments than kazoos.
* the Celtics have at least guaranteed themselves the play-offs.
* Mattel's Make Me Sick line of toys featuring Elmo and Dora just weren't a good idea.
* some company's just don't have a heart.

We're taking bets that some questions need answers...
Hello everyone!!! I hope that you are enjoying August. Summer is flying by and if you do not stop and enjoy it will be gone. I hope you like today's questions. Fun times for all and don't forget you don't have to register to answer.
A. What do you think makes them "magic" markers?
B. If the answer is Jerry Seinfeld riding an elephant wearing socks what is the question?
C. What is your favorite candy to suck on? (Please keep it PG-13)
Answers:
A. I truly believe it is there ability to transport you from one room to the next with you moving your feet. Of course most people don't know you have to be drawing a backwards toilet flush that is wavy.
B. Who could find Kramer in the jungle and how would he do it? (I bet you can do better than this.)
C. I really think that overall the SweetTart is my favorite sucker candy. Even more than the candy ring which is really just like a big nipple.

We're taking bets that passion isn't what it used to be...
Here are a few interesting observations I have.
* You always have to remember that your passion on an issue does not translate into other's passions. I hate forgetting that fact like I did last night. No matter what you say or write unless people want to care they will not.
* Your nostrils are as big as your thumb. This is something that I believed for years, but finally proved to myself the other day. I think that everyone who has a big nose or nostrils is because they may one day need to shove their thumb up there. If you don't believe me check your nose.
* Mini Bowling Alleys are the coolest thing. It is like Candle pin bowling, but not really. You should check it out in Shelton, CT.
