We're taking bets that bullies SUCK...

Open Letter to Bullies

Dear Bullies,

I hate that I need to write in a none funny manner on this blog because bullying still exists. It floors me how much it exists on the college aged students. I am appalled that it happens at my college. It needs to stop.

Everyone has seen the tragic videos of people beating up another human being for no reason other than someone else is taping it. Everyone has witnessed someone picking on another person who is different. At some point you may have been in either role. It is time for us to stand up around the country and stop these bullies. Tell YouTube, Digg and any other put up your own video website to not allow videos of people beating up other people. It has to stop. Life is way too difficult for all of us to have to deal with the fact that a bully's mother didn't hug them and they are going to take it out on us.

Please stop because our differences are what make us special. They should bring us together and not tear us apart. SAVE A LIFE - STOP A BULLY!!!

We're taking bets that Hottie of the Week...

Hottie Alicia Keys is Smokin' Aces this week. I actually looking forward to some more of her lyrical stylings as opposed to her acting chops. Hopefully acting will just be a passing fad.

We're taking bets that the Old West was cool...

Hey WTBT Readers!!! I hope that winter is treating you well. We have some single digit weather here in CT. Stay warm!!! I have a few fun questions for everyone. Please ask others to answer and remember you can be anonymous. Put your answers in the comments section and have fun.

A. If you lived in the Old West what do you think your occupation would have been?

B. What about the Old West do you wish was still happening today?

C. Regardless if you think you have a good voice what song would you sing for an American Idol audition?

Answers:

A. I think that I would have been a bartender. I enjoy hearing other people's stories and make pretty good drinks.

B. I wish there was stage coaches. I know it isn't the quickest way to travel, but you would definitely get to appreciate the US more and all of it's wonderful sites.

C. I think that I would sing Go Tell It On A Mountain. It is a fun and joyful song that would allow me to put my all into it. Plus Simon could make fun of my song choice.

We're taking bets that it's time for the movies...

Happy New Year everyone!!! Sorry for the delay in posts. I will be coming fast and furious with posts over the next few days so don't you worry. Today is my last list for the best of 2006: Movies. I have seen 51 of the 349 movies released in 2006. I unfortunately missed a couple of good ones like The Queen, The Pursuit of Happyness and Pan's Labyrinth (which techinically is released on January 17th.). Here is my list of the top movies of 2006 as seen by me. :)

Honorable Mention: Friends with Money, Inconvenient Truth, World Trade Center, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest, and Akeela and the Bee

10. United 93 - Very moving and well done for the first 9/11 movie.
9. Hoodwinked - I got more enjoyment out of this movie than I ever thought possible. It should be a must see for kids and adults alike.
8. The Departed - It took me a while to see this movie and I was greeted with great acting and a ton of violence. I wonder if this is Scorsese's year?
7. Wordplay - Surprise I like a movie about crossword puzzles.
6. Deja Vu - An enjoyable movie, with Denzel showing us why he is one of the greatest actors around..
5. Stranger than Fiction - Will Ferrell continues to surprise as an actor. A great story with a real uplifting ending.
4. V for Vendetta - A great look at a future society that sadly mirrors our own at times.
3. Inside Man - Denzel doing it again with Clive Owen showing us how cool robbers can be.
2. Lucky Number Slevin - Nothing like a Kansas City shuffle.
1. Little Miss Sunshine - A wonderful movie that might not be nominated for any Oscars, but truly made me smile from beginning to end.
