We're taking bets that everyone watches a little TV...

Question time once again at WTBT. Hopefully you are enjoying the weekly thought invoking questions. Please post your answers in the comments section. Remember you can be anonymous and you don't have to answer each question if you don't want to. Invite others to answer. Enjoy.

A. What are your top 3 TV shows currently on TV?

B. Would you like to be immortal?

C. What was Captain Hook's name before he lost his hand?

Answers:

A. LOST, 24 and CSI. LOST just keeps getting better. Yesterday's showdown with "The Others" made me even more excited about the next 12 shows. I just don't understand why Jack's wife had to cheat on him before leaving. Why is that always the way it works?

24 is absolutely incredible. I think I enjoy the show 5% of the time just because I am intrigued by Kiefer Sutherland's voice. It is a shame they killed fake President Palmer. I loved that guy and now All State Commercials will have to be my fix.

CSI is still great even though it is become very formulaic. Though Tarantino's episode is still having repercussions on everyone.

B. I truly would love to be immortal. I would love to be able to experience the changes that we will continue to go through as humans. The toughest part would be watching the people I love pass away and there would be nothing I could do to stop it.

C. I think that his name was probably Lefty and since he didn't have a left hand anymore he decided to go with Hook.

1. LOST (and now I don't need to watch our Tivo'ed episode you spoiler*!), West Wing (even though it isn't nearly as good as it was in the beginning), and House. I have a couple guilty pleasure tv shows too, but they are answers to another question.

2. I don't want to be immortal. I have experienced enough pain in this lifetime already that I don't want it to continue through eternity.

3. I think his name was Joe. And I don't think he started life as a pirate. I think he worked in a factory making aglets.

*If you are going to talk about an episode of a tv show, consider putting a "spoiler alert" at the top of the post. ~Thanks

A. My top 3: CSI Las Vegas, The Office and Lost. I'm also still addicted to RWRR on MTV. And I agree about Jacks' wife-I actually yelled at her while watching yesterday.

B. Though I am not looking forward to dying, I would not want to be immortal. Part of life is growing and changing thru the different stages of life and there's something wonderful about it, even when it sucks. And I think that not being able to age with the people I love would be horrible.

C. There are real answers to this, you know that right? But I'd say it was Eugene. People with geeky names are always the ones who go bad. And did you know that it's only (I think) Disney's interpretation of Captain Hook where it's his left hand?

(Keep in mind I am answering these with little to no knowledge of the vast majority of television shows since I watch very very little TV.

A. 1. MSNBC (ok so I like news)

A. 2. Ellen (she dances on every show, what more needs to be said)

A. 3. Clean Sweep (it makes me feel really good about myself when I see how messy some people are, plus there are some decent decorating and organization tips.)

B. I don't think I want to be immortal. I'll take my allotted time on earth and be happy with that.

C. I couldn't even venture to make a guess on this one.

1. 24 (definately), news and weather..boring, yes, but only because I felt on the spot..lol

2. I would be immortal. Death scares the heck out of me! I hate change, and dying is the ultimate change!

3. I think his name was originally James T Hook, and that's why he chose the hook. Imagine if his name was James T Tupperwearlid.

1. "24" (I can't believe they killed President Palmer either... OR Michelle Dessler...), "American Chopper", and - as much as I hate to say it - "American Idol", simply because it's audition time, and those are hilarious.

2. I would not want to be immortal. What good is life if all the people you love are dead?

3. (Taken from Wikipedia, yes, I cheated): Captain James Hook is the villain of J. M. Barrie's play and novel Peter Pan. Hook is a pirate captain and Peter Pan's nemesis. It is said that he was Blackbeard's bosun, and that he was the only man the Sea-Cook ever feared. He wears an iron hook in place of his right hand, which was cut off by Peter Pan and eaten by a crocodile; the crocodile liked the taste of him so much that it follows him around constantly, hoping for more. Hook hates Peter obsessively, and lives for the day he can make Peter and all his Lost Boys walk the plank.

I had to check back because even though I don't know her, I KNEW Danielle would say American Idol, though I am surprised she didn't say Iron Chef America. 8-)

Lisa, that is hilarious. :-)

I haven't caught much "Iron Chef: America" lately, which I'm kind of bummed about, honestly. It was a nice Sunday night relaxer.

1. Arrested Devlopment, Grey's Anatomy, and Lost. Honorable Mentions to 24, West Wing, The Daily Show, and CSI (all versions.

2. I would be immortal if all of my favorite people to be around were immortal too. Just like in Hilander, it would get to hard to watch everyone I care about die.

3. Well after the Wikipedia definition, is there any reason to answer this?

1) "The Office" - It keeps getting better and better.

"24" - It can be cheesey and full of plotholes, but I am completely GLUED to the TV when this is on.

The last space is reserved for "Scrubs," "Arrested Development" or "The Shield." I can't decide. Sorry.
